About the Role
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Line Therapist (BT) is responsible for the daily implementation of Treatment Plan contents. The RBT or BT works under the direct supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA.
Hourly Rate: Starting at $18 p/h for BT; Starting at $19 p/h for RBT
FULL TIME; M-F; 8:30a-4p OR 8:30a-5p
NO WEEKENDS!!
NOTE: Clients may engage in challenging behaviors, which may pose a risk of injury to staff. While The Behavior Helper works diligently to produce a safe working environment for staff, which includes consistent and comprehensive training, we must ethically divulge possible contingencies. Such challenging behaviors may include, but are not limited to: aggression towards themselves or others, property destruction (throwing or tearing items), and elopement.
Position Requirements
Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in a center-based setting.
Implement all clinical programs as assigned by the Behavior Analyst.
Use applicable ABA strategies to teach clients with autism communication, social and independent living skills in an individual or small group setting.
Collect data for all reduction and acquisition behaviors.
Assist with personal hygiene routines and toileting as directed or needed.
Submit written documentation in accordance with insurance guidelines.
Provide regular written and vocal progress on treatment goals.
Communicate clearly and effectively-both orally and written- with clients, families and staff.
Attend meetings, conferences, trainings and workshops to acquire further knowledge.
Qualifications
HIGHLY PREFERRED Qualifications
Current Registered Behavior Technician certification, through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), in good standing
Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, specficically individuals diagnsed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Valid Class E Driver's License and personal auto insurance
Excellent communication, time management, organization, written and vocal skills
High level of proficiency in the use of Microfost Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Gmail)
Flexible approach to working within a busy enviornment
Ability to comply with professional standards of conduct, including pleasant speaking voice and courteous manner
Ability to lift, stoop, squat, kneel and move up to 25lbs independently or an individua's weight with assistance as appropriate
Preferred Qualifications
Willingness to complete the RBT certification requirements at the expense of The Behavior Helper
Willingness to obtain Class E classification for a Driver's License
Willigness to become certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention strategies (CPI)
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis strategies
Other Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to analyze and problem solve
A desire to develop within an autism specialist service
