Administrative Assistant
About the Role
The Administrative Assistant supports The Behavior Helper as directed by the Business Manager. This individual works as a member of the Administrative Team by providing administrative, secretarial and clerical support.
Hourly Rate: Starting at $15 p/h
Position Requirements
Assist Executive Team with note taking, minute taking, and tasks needed by Executive Team.
Maintain confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with state, federal and agency policy.
Welcome families and visitors by greeting them in person, or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
Provide excellent customer support, within a busy enviornment, to families.
Provide high-level administrative support to the Owner, Business Manager and Clinical Director.
Undertake day to day administration tasks including typing, photocopying, binding of documentation, emailing, filing, archiving, supply and material ordering and maintain staff and student supported files.
Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and forms pertinent to services. Processess requests for supplies and forms to be submitted to the Business Manager.
Ensures internal and external mail is coordinated and distributed to the appropriate individual(s).
Communicates in a professional manner while handling incoming phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to phone, e-mail, and personal requests for assistance.
Achieves school goals by performing additional responsibilities as needed.
Participates in conferences, workshops, meetings, and in-service training to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
Adhere to The Behavior Helper Employee Handbook, which outlines policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications
HIGHLY PREFERRED Qualifications
Excellent communication, time management, organization, written and vocal skills
High level of proficiency in the use of Microfost Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Gmail)
Knowledge of office management, office machines, phone systems and proficienty in typing
Flexible approach to working within a busy enviornment
Ability to comply with professional standards of conduct, including pleasant speaking voice and courteous manner
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or higher
Previous successful experience in administrative/clerical work
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis strategies
Ability to prolduce and analyze data
Willigness to become certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention strategies (CPI)
Other Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to analyze and problem solve
A desire to develop within an autism specialist service
